RS3000 keyed entry question

I installed an RS3000 onto my 96 4Runner a few months ago mostly for the keyless entry with two kids... Since it has the capeability of being an alarm, i just hooked everything up. Now i usually don't keep the remotes on me unless i am taking the kids somewhere because i don't like having that damn FOB in my pocket. The problem is that when my wife drives the 4Runner she always locks the doors with the FOB which arms the alarm. Then later i go to get in the truck with my key, and the damn alarm goes off... I have been considering diasabling the alarm part of the RS3000, and just using it as a keyless entry system, but don't mind the alarm if it would let me unlock the doors with my key....

Any suggestions?

Steve

THere should be a Vallet (sp?) toggle switch.

Or just carry the FOB.

I didn't see a toggle switch anywhere when i installed it. If I drove it more i woudn't have a problem carrying the FOB, but needless to say my keys are huge enough without the 4Runner fob on it. If there is a way to allow someone to open the doors with the key then that's what i would love.
