Roger Brown body lift problems???

Has anybody had any problems after installing a roger brown body lift? I am considering a 1-2" body lift and have heard a lot of bad stories about body lifts. If i decide to do one, i don't want to have an permenant damage done. Anybody have any problems with the mounts or body, with the roger brown body lift, because i haven't ever heard anything bad about his lifts. Also, how long have people been running his lifts for? Thanks.

I haven`t heard anything bad about his lifts and if I do ever install a body lift it will certainly be one of his kits.

As long as you do it correctly and don't jimmy rig anything it's as good as stock. Body lifts contrary to popular belief are NOT rocket science. I just did one last weekend and it's simple to do. Move a couple brackets, modify a few small things and your lifted. I've seen numerous 3 inch ones and the smaller 1-2" ones are even more simple.

Roger Brown is the best in the biz

I have his 3 inch lift and love it. Its a clean lift and detailed info is there for install and upkeep. Do you have a manual or auto trans?

It's a manual, with the transfer case lever next to it. I just want to be able to run 285's with no rubbing and have already done the pinchweld mod.

with your lift the hardest part will be extending the shifter but beware of the battery cables and brake lines. You will need no less than two people doing this body lift so get some help. Its pretty simple other wise and roger send out a detailed help sheet. if you dont see the answer on the sheet he sends email him and get a reply soon after usually. hes a good guy. ben

Ihave an 02 tacoma with 3" body lift no problems at all. Still have to do pinch weld. Ihave 285/75/16 bfg.lift is pretty simple make sure you strap steering wheel down, because you are going to put an extension on the steering shaft and you want the wheel to remain straight. And you are going to have to weld extension pieces on the shift levers. Get a good welder to do this or your shifter will break.

Talking 2" body lift

There is a write-up on my website of what I did and I've had no problems at all. I love the 2" body lift as it gives me more clearance for larger tires.

Yep, no problems here. The hardest part for me was removing the stock bolts. EVERY ONE of them sheared. Well except for one that rounded off, we had to use a sawzall on that one...

I know the feeling most of my old bolts sheared too.

I figure that's it's way of shedding things it doesn't like...

Anyways as far I know the Rodger Brown's Body-lifts are the most complete kits out there.
Performance Accessories puts out one not sure if everything is included in them though.
Most BL kits you can remove and put the truck back to stock but why would you want to remove it?
If you sold it most people would buy it with oversized tires and with the body-lift and suspension lift anyways so why bother to remove it.
If you plan on wheeling it I think damage from installing a body-lift is the least thing you need to worry about..

My RB BL was shipped today, and I have nothing but good things to say about customer service! Everything is so simple, and complete. We'll see when the product comes and gets installed!

I do have a question though..I have an optima yellow top and the terminals are towards the grill and not the cab, so I've already unhooked the wires from that clip on the body....Will I need even MORE slack? I don't think I've got it.

Are you all running his aluminum or UHMW blocks? Has anyone had trouble out of the UHMW? I'm looking into getting his 3".

Wish the previous owner used Rogers lift! Instead, he used others with smaller blocks.... now a few lift blocks have caved in the body of the cab  Rogers blocks are wider so you wont get the caving in problem...
