Steve's bumper is a shipped bumper with a price competative to the on site bumpers.

3 days X 8hr/ day = 24 hours
24 hrs @ 60$/hr = $1440 for labor
add in a few hundred for materials, and you're at $1800.

15 hours @ $67.60= $1012.50
plus roughly $150 in material=$1162.50+ $450 (rear carrier)=$1612.50(raw)
Just tosiing out another option. I am on my way to the shop to beign some the of the tweeks...I am not doing a rear tire carrier. I';ll have more pics up later if anyone wants more of a comparison.

The thing with price is those who have the bumpers, had no qualms about paying for quality. Those who want the bumpers scoff at the price.
What difference does it make?
Andy, you are off a couple hundred bucks.
The fit and finish on these bumpers is amazing. You cannot find the seems even though each corner was a million pieces.

Speaking of quality, ask the owners who got the "deal" on the Kennesaw bumpers feel about ther bumpers. You get what you pay for.
THE best deal out there for a quality plate style rear bumper has got to be the Sonoran Steel units. Of course, if your heart is set on having a rear tire carrier, Rockware is the dillio.

Here is my writeup on the hitch flip. Too bad you didn't think about this before he made the bumper. He could have incorporated it into the bumper...

Congrats on the bumper! That is a piece of work you got there on your rig!
