You might want to talk to Steve Schaefer. Rockstomper made the hinge that failed on his rear bumper/tire carrier. Steve has pics on his Bumper page. I want to say somebody else had issues with Rockstomper's spindle, but I can't remember who.

Steve broke his hinge.

I have a number of Scott's products that are now discountinued. He was nothing less than helpful in all the dealings I had with him including installing my sliders and letting me hang at the shop after I picked up my skid to look at the cool stuff.

I think the business is great, but this particular porduct may be suspect.

The hinge is no good. It is cast and will fatigue and break. You want a machined one like Slee sells.

Buy the Slee Hinge.

No scoop, just a good quality machined hinge, not cast crap. Slee make some real top notch stuff.

Slee is also a good shop.

This summer, tracking e-mails were punctual and things usually got to me even before they were expected to.

Lots of fab guys have been amazed at the quality of their sliders. Top notch stuff.

Yeah, Slee Offroad is a great shop. Christo is very meticulous in how he makes and installs stuff. I was impressed by his attention to detail. You won't be disappointed with anything you get from him. When I was out there for CO4RJ I had my Slee Sliders welded on at their shop. I had a great time BSing with Christo, Robbie and Ben on Land Cruisers and Toys in general. Then again, they probably thought I was some sort of freak for driving from North Carolina to Colorado for a 4Runner Jamboree.
