Are Rock Sliders the solution.

Are Rock Sliders the solution.
I searched but I couldnt find exactly what im looking for. I dont necessarily like the running board look for offroading. But when I take em off, I see ALOT of the skid plates and undercarage on the driverside that the RB's cover up. Would sliders hide it when sitting on level ground? Anyone have a picture of a 3rd generation (preferably 98) 4Runner with sliders from a 90 degree angle shot?

Who cares what the underside of your 4runner looks like. No one is going to critique the bottom of your Runner while your out wheeling. If your that worried about the apperance of the underneath while offroad, stick to the smooth surface.
And if you don't like the looks of the RB while wheeling, take them off while your out, then put the RB back on when your back on the safe confines of the street. Adding sliders would only do one thing while offroading......Scratch the sliders.
I'm off to polish my catalytic converter. Got a hot date tomorrow night, need it sparkling!

To be honest, I'm not sure. I told him what I wanted as I saw them on another member's truck and he made them. I know they're angled, just not sure how much. I can tell you they sit pretty close to the body but doesn't block the doors.

trail gear dot com has them for 135 shipped. take them to a buddy's house, grab some jackstands and run some welds and you can set them to whatever height and angle you wish. then, paint them and USE them!

Anybody running Stubb's standard sko's? I like the idea of having a solid kick out step to access the roof racks but am not sure what they'd look like. I've done some searching here and on Stubb's site but have only found them on Tacos.
