Does anoyone have a wiring diagram to hook into the reverse lights from the dash? I'm trying to wire up a reverse camera and am only lacking something to trigger the screen to switch to it. I know I can run to the back, but would rather not since I just got the back together after runnign the camera wires.

 

Looking at the diagram for my 01 it looks like the wire from the reverse switch goes back to the dash area, behind the glove box, and splits into 2, one for each reverse light. The wires than go along the floor on either side. The wire is a white with a blue stripe. You should be able to access it behind either kick panel or under the door edge trim.
As I said this is for an 01, your 99 might be different.

 

Diagram I looked at says the BU wire is red/yel for the 99. It goes through the drivers side junction block (lower left dash) in at D4, out at D1.

(the 01 diagram show the colors as eric says for his....the same locations on the junction block)

 

Yep! I was able to tap into it on the drivers side kick panel. It was Red/yellow. Thanks a bunch!
