Here's a few pictures that I scanned for you with the clear corners and clear bumper lenses. This was my '92 4Runner SR5 that has been sold since august of 2002

I got my clear corners and bumper lenses from autodynamic.com also. They were $25 for each set (plus shipping). They DO make a big difference appearance-wise.

Nah...no bling, bling.

4Runners (Surfs) have clear corners and bumps OEM in the motherland. I like clear lights. Clean look.

Go with the clear corners. I just hate orange lenses on any vehicle. Now I'm just waiting for altezzas for the back on my 2nd gen.

This is quit amazing. I live in Holland and everybody wants those US style lights. I've just bought a set myself. Everybody overhere is fed up with the completely white ones. Go figure.
Maybe we can trade 'm next time.

I've got a set of clear corners for my 2nd gen yota from Jason B here on yotatech and I LOVE em! A lot of others have picked theirs up from him as well.

If you have AIM, his screen name is JNB133

Altezzas on a 2nd gen isn't just 'bling', it's a crime punishable by vehicle confiscation!
Those clear corners look nice though

pfdaxe: what lenses were clear on the 2nd gen Surf's? just the corners?

For those of you with a 2nd gen Runner - do the clear corners still have the pointy bit that sticks out?
From what I have read, trucks in the US only have corner parking lights (in Oz, that pointy bit is a turn indicator)

What I am therefore wondering, is whethor or not any of these after-market clear corners would suit the dual function corners we have here...

Thanks,
Dave.

do they make clear indicator lights for the 2nd gen. to go along with the clear corners. cause that would just look to goofy with clear and then orange down below. thanks, kyle

Hey guy! you're right in NA the front corners are smooth without the pointy dimple thingy. you say those are tied into the turn signal system somehow. i wondered what the purpose was. does your whole front corner flash with the turn signal as well as the bumper and side repeaters? Aviator

You can check Ebay. You can find them on there once in awhile. They stopped making the pure clear ones for lack of sales and also being not legal for street use. (You have to have at least red reflectors to the rear).

Grrraaah! :pat:
I hate how this forum logs you out and loses your message

Vato Loco and Cebby: looking at your photos, your clear corners both appear to have that 'dimple'?

Aviator: so your front corners are a smooth, solid orange?

On Aussie 2nd gens, the factory corners have a 3-pin socket wired into two globes. The orange pointy dimple part (turn indicator) is lit by a 5watt globe, and just forward of this a separate 5watt globe lights the surrounding clear lens (parking lights).

On my vehicle, the front turn indicators from the factory bumper (valance?) were given a new home curtosy of ARB.
As for the "side repeaters" as you call them... our design rules here don't have them until about 1992, hence my vehicle doesn't have them.

All interesting stuff

Dave.

To respond to hilux_1990. My front corners are smooth and clear with an orange reflector insert on the side. However ours only have one single lamp in them for the parking lights. Aviator
