Drivers side front axle boot on '88 manual hub cracked after 225,00 miles. Axle removal appears straight forward in shop manual. Is axle disassembly required to get both boots off and new back on? Considering alternative of purchasing axle assembly ($35 for boots vs $100 for assembly) Really prefer keeping original axle since I've owned truck since '88. Thanks in advance
