Just as before I did tons of research on the rear seal and how to replace it. Everything was going great....started putting it back together and what do you know. The drum won't go back on...I thought no big deal I'll just adjust the shoes to pull them inward so I can get the drum on. I start to do this and they don't seem to move....I start to think that maybe the adjustment mech. is screwed up so I try to take off the shoes and take everything apart to see if I can just get that little part to work, but I can't get the brakes and things off the backing plate. I've tried to take the long spring at the top off, but it won't move..this is so frustrating. Please help

sorry...it's a 91 v6 4runner. I got carried away with the anger while I was posting earlier and forgot that little detail

 

I'm not familiar with this setup.Try reposting/retitling your question i.e rearaxle seal and brake ?'s 91 4runner?
