Remote Door Lock

My Taco crew cab has electric locks but no remote. I would like to install this feature. Is there any experience with retro-fits either Toyota or otherwise.

I've had good luck with Design Tech products.

Installation should be pretty staight forward.

Thier Web site is www.designtech-intl.com

Just to get this straight... you have power locks and you want a remote lock/unlock?

You can get a base line Viper alarm for just over $100. This way you have an alarm too and that should help you with your auto insurance as well.

Gentleman, send me your VIN # and I can see if you have a factory system. Or... do you have the little red light to the left of your steering wheel?

Tacoma Dude, that is what I essentially do for a living. Not to mention I know when I post on here I hope people will help as much as possible. If anyone ever has any questions about what was installed on their vehicle from the factory or what we like to call "port" installed, just shoot me your VIN. I can find out where they were sold, how much, who still has a lean on the vehicle, and all sorts of other little odds and ends. I am always here guys just let me know what you need, doesn't have to be parts at all. I like this forum becuase of the community type spirit, despite popular opinion I don't come here just to sell parts. Ya'll just let me know what you need and I will see what I can do.

Todd

BTW, if people can start posting their VINs with their signatures that would be a great help on getting info.
