i got a 3rd generation runner and i was wonderin which coil/shock setup would give the most flex in the rear?

 

For the most flex, the OME comfort or firms would be the best bet. I've got firms all the way around it flexes a lot more than stock and it has been proven to be the longest shock you can run without running into other trouble. As far as springs, people are either running OME 890's, 891's or downey springs for the lift. If you plan to run a heavier rear bumper, everybody tends to lean to the 891's, which I differ in opinion and woul either run the 890's or the downeys to a slightly firmer ride than stock, and still be able to get the same lift using some spacers.

would the 891 coils give more flex or are they all the same? why dont you recommend them?

 

I haven't run them myself, but if you are running a stock rear bumper, I would run the 890's. Both offer the same amount of flex, and in my opinion, the softer spring would do better for articulation while descending, because it doesn't take as much weight to get them to compress, which is great when going down step grades. That's why, and if I had a heavy rear bumper, I'd run the 890's with spacers.
