rear end swap options for 3rd gen T4

So my buddy offered up his T100 rear end to me, probably $300ish. Has an ARB air locker/4:88 motive gears. complete axle.

The gearing would be pretty low, as I have a 5spd, as 4:56 would be a true 4:88 from what ive read. A little wider, stronger axle than my stock one.

The question,

whats worth the work...T100 w/arb already geared-wider to match LT front, or keep same rear and do elocker mod and run spacers, or ive seen some Fzj80 full floaters with discs and locker for sale.(drive shaft offset tho i believe so ud need some short shafts to center...right?)

thx for your opinions!

I think the T100 has the same 3rd member a 3rd gen 4runner. Buy it, swap the 3rd and run spacers.

The ARB is far better than the E-locker

That's just the diff, I thought you were talking about a complete axle weren't you? If you cut the leaf spring brackets off the T100 axle and weld on your coil spring junk, it would work. If you are 4x4 you'll have to regear the front too.

yes, can swap entire axle-just need to reweld linkage braketry...cant just swap 3rds..planning on re-4linking anyways. jUst want to make sure i do it w/the right axle.

will be 4x once i have new LT axles rated at 40 degrees..so ya, front will need regearing. IM thinking 4.88s w/be good with 35s...5spd.

is t100 axle better option than land cruiser swapage?

i wld cure the T100 weak axle shafts w/tundras + bearings.

since your LT, i say the t100 would be a good choice at a stronger (after swapping shafts) and wider axle.

4.88's should be good with 35's and a 5speed 3.4

Why not run the T-100 axle and swap in a spring under setup?

you mean like this...

Not really into leafs handling/wheel hop...I like the way links handle at speed on/off road.
