Rear Bumper Question

For those of you that have sold their stock rear bumpers (3rd Gen), how much did you sell them for? Is there a market for these on Ebay and how do you ship something so big?

Here is my rear bumper for and idea of what I have on my rig.

Mine is sitting on my deck waiting to be cleaned up for sale...

I have the same bumper off my 2000, i was going to ask 250.00
I have shipped my front bumper that I sold on ebay, but it went freight for like 200.00

I would recommend selling it locally or taking it down to one of those part shops in Denver.

Data,

I just called a couple of dealerships and asked them how much it would be for all the parts for a new bumper and they said it was close to $1000 retail. That is just outrageous!! I would sell it to you cheap but I think that shipping would be a killer. I want to get a somewhat fair price to partially offset my cost for a new aftermarket bumper.

DSP,

What parts stores are you talking about in Denver?

I sold the middle for $100 and the sides for $50 on ebay...one of sides was dented. Shipping was $30?? for the middle and liked $15 for the sides.

The trick to shipping it is to get the box size down to the max size that UPS will take. If you can't do that then you have to go with freight and that is an arm and a leg. I send a front bumper with a valence and I had to take them apart to get the box smaller. Start with a big box and cut it down to the max size that UPS will take. I forget the number but length+ 2times width + 2times height must be under their max number.

Ummm, I can't recall what it is called since I am not in the immediate area...

Also i am not sure how to pull links from other posts...

But ask Darren, or some of the other front rangers...

There are 2 toyota junkyards in ther metro area both with web sites...

They mostly deal in 2 gens and earlier, but seems to me they would be very interested in your bumper.

Sorry i don't have more specifics for you, i can't find their sites in my browser history but i have checked them out before...

Dave
