Rattle Sound?

Lately when its cold i have been hearing this rattle type sound from the front right of my car. It is only on when its cold and when im coasting, it doesnt rattle when I am accelerating or when its warm. Just wondering what it could be?

Probably something on the exhaust, like a heat shield on the converters or something of that nature.

The exhaust heats up and expands, and then noises like that will go away.

If it's really really cold out when you hear the noise, I wouldn't worry about it... since most vehicles make some sort of rattles and strange noises when they are cold and the temps are below 15/20 degrees.

Is it coming from the engine, the suspension, the wheels, where?

Its not coming from the engine, its more wheel suspension area.

You also may want to check the bolts on the passenger side that hold the bumper on. Mine have been making noise for a while. When you look in the wheel well up front, there is a hole that should be about knee level facing the front of the truck which has a 10 or 12 mm bolt in it. You'll need a deep socket and a small extention to get to it. Check that.
