Any body running Rancho 5000's How do you like them, how do they ride..? any input will be appreciated. thanks

 

I have'em on my k5 and to tell the truth,They ride alittle sloppy.They'rok but I heard the Pro comp 9000's are better

 

I'm running them on my rig and I have run them in the past on other trucks. they tend to fade fast and ride spongy. but for 37.00 each I can't complain! (summit racing). they work as far as shocks go, but if you want stellar performance, get out of the budget mindset and buy billsteins.... my .02

 

I run them on my truck at first I thought they were a little stiff, but as shift said that didn't last to long. Going along with shift again and prob. everyone else here, spend the extra $100 and get the bilsteins. lol another .02 for ya....you'll be rich soon

 

I ran them too but now I have Skyjacker nitros and they give a much better ride than the Ranchos.

 

Im just gona get billsteins, great deal over here at cabe toyota. 189.99 for all 4, + a buddy of mines works there so he's gona give me a discount.

 

i just found out the truck i bought has the rancho 5000's.....to tell you the truth they are a little spongy and i will be definitely changing them out as soon as i can

 

That's a sweet deal. I think I got mine for about $300 for all four. I have a 3rd gen BTW.

 

Same experience for me. R5000s were too stiff new. Loosened up and were awesome for maybe 35,000 miles, then began to decline fast. Blew seals before 60k.

A buddy swears by the Skyjacker nitros. But you can't go wrong with 'steins. LIfetime warranties are nice too.

 

i used to have the 5000s too; they were crap. i am super-happy now that i've switched to edelbrock ias performers and wonder why i'd put up with the raunchos for so long...

they are stiff on the back of an 89 4runner.

 

I found the 5000s were on the stiff side on my '85 4Runner and have been running 9000s (and 9000Xs) for the last 6-7 years and like them better. Run them in the 1-2 range around town and 4-5 on the highway and off-road in the rocks up as high as they go and anywhere between 1 and 5 for other conditions via the in-cab adjuster.
