Question on Airlift system and Sequoia compatibility

I tried searching but came up with no results.

I have a friend who has a 2003 Sequoia. He's thinking of putting in an Airlift system to level the truck out when he tows his car trailer. However, he was told that the Sequoia was not a recommended application for the Airlift. Sorry, I'm not sure who told him this but, this info is causing him to discount the air bag system.

I know Airlift sells a kit for his truck, but I wanted to ask the board to see if you guys have heard of any issues. Also, I have one on my 4Runner and feel it works well (once I solved a leaking bag problem by getting the company to replace the supplied bags with taller, skinnier bags) for all of the crap I carry.

So, will the system work with the truck?

Thanks for your help!

Yeah, from what I can tell, you can make almost any airlift system work on any vehicle, depending on where you cut the bumpstops and how you apply the supplied spacer. Just put a system on my 03' V-8 Runner that was for an 02' and she works great. You as well as I know that they are cheap, so at the very least you could order one up and see if it fits...if it doesn't, send it back. I think you will be able to make it work though. For a quick pic of my setup look for the thread titled 4th gen w/ 33x12.5's and scroll down to the airbag shot. I'll bring it to the front of the forum for you.

Billy,

Thanks for your help! I'll pass the info on to my buddy.

I'd still love to hear from anyone else who has an opinion or experiences.

Best,
