Cool Question about Aisin Hub install

History: I got a set off eBay($30 shipped). There not here yet and i'm trying to get everything together for the install. They were advertised as missing hardware, no biggie. I can get the metric bolts for the top from sears and the bottom uses the same nuts that hold the ADD hub plate on. I also got all new gaskets too.

Question: my question is about this pdf (clicky) of the hubs you posted there is a bolt or nut and washer on the end of the stub axel shaft that pokes through. Is that already under the ADD plate or do I need to get something? I know that Akennedy87 on a previous thread (clicky) said that you only need the spindle nut kit for pre 89 runners. Is that the spindle nut pictured in the pdf? Just double checking so that i don't come up short on hardware during the install. Thank you for any help!

It's been a while since I tore my front end apart. To answer your question, yes that bolt and washer should be under your ADD plate.

If your talking about the 12 mm bolt that's under the cap that's on the end of the axel holding the ADD hub on........you should already have them. My 94 had them.

Question New question on install (in progress)

Now i'm installing them. Got the cone washers out, no problem. Banging the ends widened them a bit but left the nuts on so no buggered threads. That's good....now how does the plate remove? In metal22ica's write up he said he removed the gold cap. I take it it's separate from the add hub but how does it come off? I don't want to go banging on it a bend up anything. Any help ASAP is mucho appreciated!

its probably just a grease cap, see if you can get a screwdriver behind it and pop it off

You're close, just remove the 12mm bolt at the end of the CV shaft, and the ADD flange should slide right off.
