profields or long fields

all right i have an 84 extra cab with 35'' bfg muds and air lockers. suprise suprise i broke a birfield. i am considering longfields or profields. wich one is better? why are the profields about half the price are they half as good? I need to get something soon and i don't want to pay $635 for the 30 spline longs if the$200 porfields will git-er-dun

Go for the longfields. They are MORE than twice as good as profields. Guys on Pirate bust profields like they are stock birfs.

By the longs and you won't ever have to buy again. Don't even CONSIDER buying profields. No better than OEM birfs IMO. I have 27 spline longfields...

Depends how hard you are on your rig. If you broke your first birf and have been wheeling your rig for a year, then the profields will work for you. They are an upgrade from stock, just not much of an upgrade. If this is the 2nd trip on the 35's and you already broke one, then buy the longfields. Good 27 spliners will be fine, you really dont need the 30's unless you plan on going real big in the future. I wanted the option to run 40's and wheel hard, so i bought the 30's.

It gets beat pretty hard most of the time. I like to drive it daily but i have 2 other rigs so i don't have too much reason to hold back. i have been trying not to hammer it with it all locked up but thats about to stop when i get some new joints. i have a stock 22re and i don' plan to ever go over 37'' tires do you think i need the inners or just the joints and inners when i need them? why fix what isn't broken?

I'd go 30 spline longfields. Why risk having to fix something that is second rate when you can get the best and not have to worry about it?

GO LONGFIELDS!
