I have a 2001 4runner. Factory keyless entry. 4runner is BONE stock, so NO aftermarket accessories. The power doorlocks are going crazy. Driving down the road they lock and unlock over and over. Even while parked and running, the doors will just lock themselves. The keyless entry works fine and the switch inside the cab works fine. Sounds like a connection has come loose and the hot side is making contact intermittently. Lots of places to check, I would start with the d/s door controller...
Have fun, probably seems like your truck needs an exorcism..

 

I got to thinking and the only thing I had done was put some lock lube with deicer into the lock,were the key goes, about 2 weeks ago. I just took off the door panel and wiggled the key lock sensor and the door locks would go crazy. I then took some electrical contact cleaner and sprayed into the lock, where the key goes and then from inside of the door, door panel removed, all over and around the key switch sensor. Everything seems fine now. Im hoping it was just some of the lock lubricant making an unneeded contact. Keeping my fingers crossed.
