post your off-road wish list

Just for kicks... what's everyone hoping to do with their rigs? Post 2 lists... one that's realistic financially for you, and one dream list - ya know, the kind of things you would do if you won the lottery.

Realistically:
Rear seat covers
32" MTs
read diff from junkyard with 4.30s and e-locker
front diff from junkyard with 4.30s

If I won the lottery:
Rear seat covers
32" MTs
retire the 4Runner for casual trail use
buy 75 FJ40 to which I would
- do a spring over axle conversion
- add front disc brakes
- add power steering
- rhino line the interior
- add ARB lockers front and rear
- add a 1" Bl
- do some fender trimming
- run 38" swampers
- add custom front and rear bumpers

If I won the lottery, then I would get...

SAS,
Marlin Crawler,
full roll cage,
ARB'd Front and Rear
37" Super Swamper Boggers
V8 conversion

then get another 3rd Gen for a DD (as 3rd Gen's are my favorites)

Realistic:
front bumper with winch
rear ARB locker
snorkel
32 or 33in MTRs
Possibly SAS, crawler, 3.4L swap--much later.

Lottery (even though I don't play the lottery) :
Get a pinzgauer for DD and play. Follow around all the H1 and H2s and make fun of them.

Here's your answer to your 99-up bumper upgrade to your 96-98 4runner:

http://community.webshots.com/album/76030601gWewTr

I was thinking about upgrading the 99-02 bumper but I'm getting all my parts ready for a JDM style bumper. I'm going to be painting my 96-98 bumper to match the flares, I haven't seen any 4Runners around here like that other than the 99-02 4runners.

A truck that runs reliably. Heck, maybe even one that will run at all!

If I won the lottery I would get some 4.0s for my crawler and then I would probably call the Runner done. I would then buy a tow rig and trailer and start construction of a buggy I have been wanting to build for so long now...

Wish List

Pretty much everything listed in this thread is realistic within the next year or two, it is just a matter of patience and money. Both things I can use more of...

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...threadid=17551

:Ramblings on: On a more serious note, as far as living in fantasy land about winning the lotto, I think too many of people dream big dreams and waste our lives not fulfilling them. You only have one life, why waste it living unfulfilled. You don't have another life stored in the bank somewhere to cash in at a later date. There is NO reason when you really get down to the nitty gritty why your dream list can't be a realistic one. The only person stopping you is you! I plan on making the big dreams that I really want to come true, come true. If they don't, I can at least say I took a shot at it. The Great One said, "100% of the shots you don't take never go in!" And don't feed me lines about "ifs" and "buts" because if they were "fruits" and "nuts" what a wonderful Christmas we all would have! :Ramblings off!

I agree with you. That's why mine is post-school list instead of lottery list. Off topic: people are too caught up in getting the easy money. That's why there are so many law-suits out there. So their greed will hopefully generate a long and successful career for me!!

But at the same time, it doesn't hurt to dream!!
