Pics from the Badlands today
#6
It is a great place to wheel. The place has everything you could possible want to do from sand/gravel hills, rock-crawling, mud, and tightly wooded trails. I need to upload all the pics to my webshots account and I will share with all. If anybody is every in the area (IN) give me a shout and we can go.

I used to go there when I had my quad (98 Yamaha Warrior), its a great place. I am from the South Chicago burbs and its only about 1 1/2 hours away. I would love to bring my 4Runner there sometime, however, its pretty much stock. I've never done any wheeling before, but I would like to. How would a stock Runner survive at Badlands?

Runner4,
My 88' is mostly stock. I have not added any traction aids (locker, lift or gears). I do have bigger tires (33's) and rear shackles, but other than that it is stock. You could survive on some of the open areas, but I would not suggest some of the trails. I survive by having someone spot on the most difficult areas. I can't wait to get some gears and lockers but until then I survive. How many times can you say survive in a paragrpah? If you want to go let me know.
