By-pass oild filters

Has anyone installed a by-pass oil filter, such as Amsoil, TransDapt and others make, on their Taco?

I am considering it for my 2001. I do not run synthetic (too many miles by the time I got it and 114K now) and am considering possibly a under the hood install if I can find the real estate.

If you have, what filters do you use? The Amsoil set-up uses theirs, however are a little pricey. Did you run into any issues?

I plan on running one on my 07 for sure, and maybe my 03 as well.

Amsoil are $$ but they are the best, hands down. If you look on thier website it shows 2 installs on 3.4L's

114K isnt too late to add synthetic. I started my 92 on it at 150K with no issues.
