One_96TR4

I have a 96 4runner sr5 with a 5speed and lately I've been having the parking brake light flashing on and off. It doesn't seem to do it with any kind of consistency. I do notice that it only happens when I'm on the clutch or pressing in on it. The clutch fluid and brake fluid are both full and I know the front brakea are new. I just did the tundra swap over the summer. I'll have to take a look at the rears this weekend but I doubt thats the issue as they were done about a yr ago. As I said it does it only when I'm on or using the clutch pedal. Even if I'm stopped and I just press and release the clutch a few times I can get it to come on. Not consistently though. I'm puzzled by this and was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue or ideas. Only other time this happened was when The Clutch master cylinder was slowly leaking into the cabin and would run a little low. I changed the clutch master over the summer so that shouldn't be the problem. And as I mentioned the clutch master was full when I checked it today. Anyone have any ideas, the light is really starting to annoy me!

Yeah, mine does the same thing. Unfortunately its not consistent with the clutch as I have an auto. I notice it mostly when its cold out, I've checked out mine and driven my truck about almost 1000 miles since I noticed it and no changes in any operations. Just a bad sensor..I'm actually probably going to just disconnect the sensor today...although I would imagine that would mean the light is on all the time....at any rate...i'm going to screw with it and see if I can get it to turn off.

Of you figure anything out please post it. I might just try changing out the clutch master again and see if that's the issue. Seeing as how it only does it with the clutch. Not really sure what else the issue could be. I'll post if I figure it out. If anyone else has any idea's please post. thanks.
