Park gear

What would happen to a car with an automatic transmission was put into the Rark while driving?

Depending on how fast the car was moving, you could blow out the tranny. If it was only going a few mph, you could get away with just extra wear on the gears.
Hope it wasn't your rig

My friend shifted his auto into reverse...on the freeway! He said it went into gear and chirped his tires until he got it back into drive. As far as I know nothing happened to it, but I haven't talked to him for a while now.

Same thing happened to the Park gear guy. But it was his fault, on accident. He said the same thing about it chirping. But when it was put in park while driving, he said the car was like rumbling...ouch
