Block

Is this block just a stock block or is it a suped up stock block, would it be worth the money?

 

looks like a rebuilt to stock specs block to me

 

they can build you whatever you want, even the heads with a 5 angle valve job. they run those stock rebuilds all the time on ebay. my neighbors 3.0 w/ 250k mi. blew a headgasket and he was interested so i emailed back and forth with amazon racing and the guy was pretty nice and they seemed solid. unfortunately my neighbor opted to put over $2,000 into his 250k engine at the stealership. they didnt even do a valvegrind...so i never was able to see amazon's blocks firsthand.

 

I blew a head in my 3.0 and had to replace it at 210,000. I went with a Jasper which is almost the exact engine that came stockin my 88. the cost wasn't bad either.

 

Ah thanks, just another reason to be more concerned with my head gaskets even though the recall didn't apply to my truck in particular.

 

sorry to hear that because the recall did include me and they payed for much of my replacement.
