Looks like FET's (field effect transistors) will be used. So no additional clunky automotive style relays to be wired with moving parts and clicky noises. The amp load from the solenoids is pretty low about 750mA, so probably MOSFET style, doing this will keep size down too since they can be integrated into the control unit.

Not even using a arduino anymore, has been simply reduced to a ATmega328p.

Yeah, a Arduino board and FTDI cable will be used to program the chip, then removed and put in a socket on my shift controller board.

Wait, where is the flux capacitor? How come it didn't make it into the final build schematic?

No idea, hasn't been built and tested yet. I will update when more is done, might have to give me a couple weeks.

It was phased out when the 88mph goal couldn't be reached and walmart quit selling plutonium.

So if I had the time and ambition to build more of these and sell them, wonder if it would be worth my time...

As far as price it would be pretty cheap, but such a niche market.

Yeah, you would not sell a lot of them but list them on ebay and you would get a sale every now and then.
