Pacesetter Products?

Anybody have any experience with them? From what I have read, opinions are split about 50/50 around here and other boards about the quality of Downey and NWOR headers. Pacesetter makes them for my application, so I'm wondering what their quality/performance is like.

I was kinda wondering about that stuff when I first knew i was getting my truck. I'm kinda curious as to the quality cause everyone around here uses stuff for the 6cyl not the 4 and jcwhitney sells the pacesetter stuff for the 4. Not that I'm partial to pacesetter just looking at another option.

I don't think I've heard any good things about the quality of Pacesetter headers, 'cept for the price. Like they say, you get what you pay for.

I, personally, have not had good luck with Pacesetter. Here's what I have experienced:
I have a 1995 Ford Escort GT. I use it for commuting. I installed a Pacesetter cat back exhaust. First, it sounded really tinny, even for a 4 cyl. Second, it began to rust just five months after I bought it. I took it off and re-installed the factory system.

Then, I installed the pacesetter header with the armor coat. The armor coat burned off in 5 miles. I pulled the head back off, and recoated it. No to mention, I noticed no gain in performance, mileage, or air/fuel ratio.

I was going to get the short shifter for my Escort, but anticipated that it would break off before the end of my block

i have a 4cyl and have the header and tfx cat back. I have no problems with the headder, in fact i like it. be warned though. it comes painted black. IT WILL burn off and smoke and make your truck smell funny for a few day, but mine is all burnt off and now its looks like a normal headder. as for the tfx cat back, all i have to say is DONT, god my truck sounded like a honda with a fart cannon. Also to boot, i had it under a year and the daym thing rotted out and i need a new one BAD!!!!!!!!!! So headers are ok, but cat back are just SH*! Youd be better off with a custom made exhaust
