Overall Height....with and without lift/bigger tires

Right now on my stock height 4Runner, I can get into parking garages without a problem. I was debating on lifting the truck 2.5-3" tops and 285's. I was wondering if anyone with a setup like this can tell me what the overall height of their truck? I want to make sure I can still fit in parking garages.

Please list your lift, what you used....etc and tire size.

Thanks...
Cliff

With 285's, 2.5" Suspension lift, and a 2" Body Lift, I was just a HAIR under 7 feet. Just barely comfortable in parking garages.

I have a 2" lift and 285s on LC wheels and have no problem getting into the garage. I'm about to put a 1.5" bl on as well and still shouldn't have a problem.

I don't have a roof rack either. That makes a big difference. My 4runner sitting beside my inlaws tahoe with street tires is only about an inch taller.

When you really look at it 285/75/16 are only a hair more than 2" taller in diameter than the stock 265/70/16 and only add 1" of height to your truck. Even if you add a 3" lift you have only added 4" to the height of your truck.

just measured mine, from ground to crossbar it is 80 inchs exactly, which is about 6 feet 8 inchs.

as soon as I get my LC coils in and top outs up front it should be around 81 to 82 inchs tall, no more garages for me

I also have experienced the horrors of 7 ft clearance garages. I too have 5 inches total on 285's with a surco basket and it gets way way way too close for my liking.

when I have the rack, I have to watch out for drive throughs, my cb antenna is on it and they like to take out those flourescent bulbs really easily...
