Which optima yellow top?

I've been searching through the forums for info on the optima yellow tops and it seems most people are running D34/78 model but when you do the battery selector on the optima site it recommends the D35 is anybody running this?

I'm also assuming that as its recommended i wont have to extend my battery cables like a lot of people seem to have done with the 34/78

lastly its specs are a little lower than the 34/78 does anybody think this will have a huge impact, the only major accessory i have is a m8000 winch?

Thanks
G

You will be fine. Go some place that sells Optimas and "test fit"

anyone running the D35 or D75/25 yellow top? I tried a 34/78 red top and my cables are too short. I don't really want to go through the hassle of changing the cables to longer ones.

They make a 35. Autozone can get them. Red or Yello

They make a 35 in red and yellow. Autozone can get them. I have one in my '02 tacoma, and one in my '97 4runner. Also call optima and they'll tell you were to buy one... http://www.optimabatteries.com/customer_service/

I converted to a yellow top this winter and I am not happy. I just doesn't have the cranking amps of the lead acid type even though their specs seem to say so. It let me down regularly this winter in the cold Canadian winter so much so, that I didn't trust it and ended up carrying a battery eliminator with me all the time. Once the temperature rose above -15C, it seemed to be OK, but we had lots of days colder that this winter. The stock battery I removed was made by Panasonic. What a great battery. 10 years of service and it never let me down until this winter. I wish I could find one of these again.

I installed a 34/78 yellow top. My positive cable reached...barely, but I had to make the ground cable a bit longer.

I've been running a YellowTop for the past couple months when i was having starting problems and it has been great. Can't remember which on i've got but it was 169.99 at Costco. I had to extend my cables to make it work, but that was also due to my BL which shortened the cables to begin with.
I had to make a custom ARB battery tie down so it wouldn't bang around when wheeling.[IMG][/IMG]
