Found My SAW's...I think. Need Feedback

Found a set of SAW's today...$450 including shipping. 10K miles on them 2X's offroad (moderate trails). Valved for Taco though. Anyone know the approximate cost of the Tundra revalve kit, and is it an easy rebuild?

I am ITCHIN' to get this stuff on and hit some new trails! My avatar is at Hollister's "Frame Twister". The mudflaps are still on my truck at this point. Factory stance wasn't enough to allow me thru. I backed out - got stuck, pushed mudflaps up against the tires and BINGO...no more mudflaps!

The Lesson here - MORE GROUND CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED - Honey, where's the checkbook. "I know a lift is expensive...But, how many $85.00 mudflaps do we have to go thru before we do the right thing for "OUR" truck? - The key here is to assume dual ownership, this way it invokes personal involvement and concern and ultimately a yes response. - hee hee

WOW.

Matt, I have the Taco valved ones and I haven't seen a reason to revalve them. I have a TJM T15 too. I figure that when it comes time to rebuild them I will revalve them but only because it is a popular thing to do I guess, not because I have noticed that it needs it. Mine have about 15-20K on them I think. mine also have the 650 lb/in spings as opposed to the 675 lb/in ones that come in the new taco models.

I just ordered the OMEN86 (HD Shocks), and OME891 (Firm Springs) from Mike over at Xtreme. Do you foresee any problems mixing these with the 650 lb/in SAW's for the Taco? Also: do you think it will sit level - without the need to go the full 3" on the SAW's?

Thanks for all of your great feedback and wisdom, by the way.

Matt

Taco owner doing a Downey conversion. He had the SAW & Bils. setup on his rig before, and just went to the Downey 6". I suppose the stars were in alignment for me today or something. I'm not quite sure.

Hey, I noticed you have the elocker. Feedback eloc vs. airloc please. Like it?

I only have experience with the e locker, but I love it! It's the best when I'm with my friend in his non-locked tacoma and we get to a spot and he's spinning his tires in a huge rut or something, I just roll through on my STOCK tires (Although they are getting bald up front, so that will change) No spinning! There's one trail here we do and it requires a locker just to get past the first obstacle off the road. Only one guy on 33's in a '85 Runner made it without one, but it took a few tries and a lot of momentum.
Are you getting the SAWs from that guy on Tacoma Territory? I just saw those after your post here. Great find.
