One touch window down

If I can get some of the window buttons from a 2000ish 4runner with the one touch down, can I use them to replace the three old-fashioned buttons in my 97 drivers door? And perhaps my other doors as well? Has anyone tried this? I think it would be cool. Or maybe some lexus ones with the power down and up function. i always cruise all windows down when its nice out, and this would make things easier

It's not just the button itself, they are part of what they call a master switch that is all one assembly. To start off you would have to purchase an additional 3 of those, below is part and pricing for ya.

84820-35060 $245.13 EACH

Screw that. I was hoping that each button might be similar to the rocker switch for fogs or the ect or something. By that I mean a self-contained unit with a plug-n-play type capacity. Oh well.
thanks

That is pretty steep price!! And actually I plan to swap over to the 2000 type auto up and down. But the problem is the wiring harness are different, you can't do just a plug and play way. Rewiring or new harnesses are required in this case. I do have those switches for sale too..both driver and passeger side. Let me know if you want them

If you have an alarm you can get the remote roll down setup it turns the stock switches to one-touch buttons. Or I know the Clifford/Viper ones do. I'm not sure if they will work w/o the alarm or not Cebby? But it would be much cheaper than the current options...

If I remember right, those alarm system simply add some sort of relay to it, I've done that with my Accord before and it wo not work if you try to roll up the window from the swith, the only is through the remote when your engine is turn off. Hope this help. I am trying to do this mod too, I will let you guys know how it goes Ohh by the way Austin, are you still interested in the driver headlight??

Chuckd-
I have a 2000, and let me tell you sometimes that function is a f'in PITA.

Maybe I have touchy switches or I just man handle 'em, but it seems more often then not...

when i go to put the window down, even if i touch the back of the switch the window goes all the way down, then i have to adjust it to the proper height with the up button.

Doesn't toyota know that sometimes you just need to crack it a little to smoke a ????

Not that I am complaining, but I am...
MY WINDOWS ARE TOUCHY!!!

No, my dirvers side has a one touch for my window, that's why I threw in that I wanted to replace the other three. And I wanted it the rest of my doors. I seldom have the roll all the way down problem.
Ranma, how much do you want for the passenger side thing?
thanks
