I use whatever octane it says in the owner's manual. Prior to putting on the S/C I used 87 Octane (like it says in the book). Since the S/C install, I use the 93 Octane. I will throw in a bottle of the Techron once per month and use BG44K about every 10K-15K miles. All my other fluids (diffs, tranny, oil) I use AMSOIL.

i use 89 usually, but sometimes 87 when prices are high. no one needs to put 93 in their runner.

Avoid any of those fuel/oil additives, nearly all are a joke, just use a good brand name oil whether it's dino or synthetic.

I use a can of BG's 44K in my fuel system once a year,it is kinda pricey but better works.

One additive that you may wanna look at is Auto-RX. A couple of folks here are running through the process now:

In your vehicle, I'd just run the cheap stuff for gas (87).
Yes, the Techtron does work to clean the injectors so do use that.
I use dino oil but many are using amsoil brand with much success.
I second the Auto-RX, I am not using it but from what I have seen it works very well.

Here in Colorado there is no such thing as 93 octane (high altitudes). I use 87 or 91. I also put a can of BG 44K in once a year. As far as fluids plain Valvoline motor oil and BG oils for the tranny, and diffs.

For me - High octane, Mobil-1 in the motor, Amsoil everywhere else.

Techron in the bottle is the way to go.

As for non-synthetic oil I'd stick with a name brand. Castrol, Havoline, and Valvoline are good choices. But why use old technology when you can get Amsoil with 7500 drain intervals??

I use 87 in everything I drive.

I run pennzoil w/ schaefers moly additive. (the additive is not a joke, Ive used it in several vehicles and its never failed to extend the life of the oil. As in when they would start to use a little oil around 4k miles they now run to 5 or 6 without using a drop)

We used to sell the heck out of Techron cleaner with lots of positive results.

I recnetly changed to 89 and just did the Techron treatment. I was getting a little knock around 3K. I haven't driven it enough to see if it helps though... :pat:
