Wow, when was there a fag light option? Is that like gaydar? Can we amend the "Ultimate 4Runner" to be a '99 w/ 5 speed, elocker, and fag light?

it's all good dude! As far as using a dremel ...I'd be careful with that. I take it the plastic is faded? I'm not sure there's anything you can do to get it back to "new"...a dremel will probably just make it more "fogged" looking..

Oh they are glass? I have no idea, I have a '90....they didn't have fog lights back then. If it's glass a dremel with a polishing tip might actually work...maybe....?

Nicsand Professional Polishing kit

There is a product that I have made by NicSand called the NicSand Professional Polishing kit. It comes with a 10,000 grit sanding gel that is the consistency of cottage cheese and one of those blue foam drill backing pads. The abrasive is so fine that you can use it to polish scratches out of plexiglass, remove waterspots from your glass, polish plastic lenses to like new again, and even to remove scratches from your paint or clearcoat. I bought 32oz bottle years ago, but more recently I saw the stuff at Pep Boys for $9.99. It is made by NicSand, so you could alway special order it from an auto parts store. You just wet the item, apply a little of the gel, and spin the backing pad with the drill. It is what I use to keep my truck looking like new.

They come out of there really really easily. Just one bolt, I'm pretty sure 10mm... everything is 10mm... and unplug the harness. The lens is indeed glass, and there's actually 2 of them. You might want to yank it out and take it apart (3 screws) to see if a seal has failed and you've got crap between the lenses. One of mine was that way, and the crap cleaned right off with Windex. Only one of the lenses will be clear, the other one is kindof "foggy" to diffuse the light more, I'd imagine.
Hope this helps!
