I concur. Pull the plugs and see if they're wet. If they aren't, then you know you're not getting fuel. Surely these trucks have an EFI fuse somewhere, check for that, then check the pump.

Mine wouldnt start either. EFI Main Relay on my 86 was bad. I guess they go out just like a light bulb. Mine was in drivers bottom sid e panel.

Try swaping in an EFI that you KNOW is good.
I'd bet THAt is the culprit. Your symptoms sound alot like an issue I dealt with back when I reversed the polarity on my battery, thus frying my EFI.
New relay ($30) and she started right up.
No EFI = no 'send fuel' message from the on-board computer.
