Build your engine internals first, then if you still need nitrous get it. Unless you have one of those lowered 4x2 tacomas....i doubt it would be worth it. Toyota trucks don't really have much of a....drag racing heritage.

The only time you're going to win a race with a toyota truck is when you're racing another toyota truck (and even then you stand a 50/50 chance of losing).

yep, i'm gonna be putting nitrous in my 22re. it's a 94 2x4 so there is no real reason for me not to try and make it faster. just with an intake and complete exhaust i have seen HUGE improvements with horsepower and torque. and the only bad thing about having a toyo trans is that it is not good for top speed. and i will admit that i have raced people in the past, mostly pretty boys that think their civic is the best in the world, and just completely ripped them a new a$$hole.

Yeah, that can happen with any pressurized gas... even a SCUBA bottle.

Max, you'll probably be the first on _this_ forum to try it (edit: on a 22re), we're mostly common off-roaders on here and nitrous wouldn't help us much. Just be aware of the normal concerns running gas, like burning holes in pistons.

Tranny wise... you can always regear, there are plenty of options for your rear diff to get you more speed on the top end.

Are you thinking a 50 shot? 75?

Keep us informed of how it goes, include ET slips if you get 'em, and PICTURES! We love pictures!

GOOD LUCK!

You can blow ANY motor with nitrous... Max seems intent on doing it, and as such, I still wish him luck.

Yeah, I met him at Checker auto as he was pulling his NOS bottle out of his truck to refill it. I thought that was pretty crazy. I recommended him to YT.
