yeah, i've said before, the biggest rocks i'll ever climb over are on gravel roads. there is a place around here (cedar rapids) that is called 100 acres or something and i hear it's just a big muddy mess for people to go wheelin', most people who have gone have a story or two about being stuck and taking a dip in the mud; not me and my baby though! perhaps someday i'll leave iowa and go on a vacation that i can do some climbing.

patsawasy - i'm not sure exactly why the wheels chipped and cracked, but my suspicion is the duplicolor clear coat. when it dipped below about 50 degrees last fall it cracked and flaked off, taking some of the black with it, and totally ruining the look that i had for a few months. i could write up what i did and leave out the clear coat if you want, but i'm going to inquire at a local powder coating shop if they can do just the inside of the spokes like i painted before, then it will last and i'll have my bling back as winter rims.
