I don't have an answer to your question... but, I have another question... Are you going to buy the H4 conversion kit off eBay? And if you do, let us know which ones you got and how they work!

OK i looked at the ebay page. the only thing i can tell you is that i bought a conversion headlight kit for my 1994 toyota truck from ebay. in the 94 truck it takes the whole light to replace them. well i bought the kit that makes them stay in where u only have to change the bulbs. the lenses where made from glass. i say hmmm 4 to 5 days after installing them, they both was Cracked. in the excat same places and the same spots. the both cracked identical to each other. now after thinking about what could have caused this. the only thing i could come up wiht is that i drove in the rain. and the bulbs was so hot and the cold rain hitting them caused them to crack. that or just cheap glass. so i would suggest plastic lenes and not glass, but thats JMO.

And i payed $60 for mine. i wish they had only been $10 bucks

i bought projector style lenses from www.procarparts.com they are the h4 style conversion meant to replace the sealed beams... they have been on for almost a year and have never cracked, and they are glass... personally if i had it to do over again, i would have gotten the regular diamond clears, though... the projector style look ok, but look kinda cheap.... but still way better than stock though....

also, most of those conversion headlights are not DOT legal.....

The Hella US spec coversions are DOT approved (w/aiming nipples) and I slapped a pair in last night. What a freakin' difference it made over stock. After the bulbs burn out I will switch over to ones from daniels stern and an upgraded wiring harness. And at $35 each for the headlamps (if yer not big on ebay and paying for shipping), this is something you can't afford not to do.

Why not just put in a set of replacement Silver Stars? I put them in mine and I love them. No wiring just plug and play.

yeah, i am thinking of just buying replacements from autozone. I think that would be safer than taking the chance of buying could-be shabby products from ebay. I am thinking of buying fog/driving lights from ebay though because i saw a pair that i that were ultra cool!

H4 Concersion

I just did the H4 conversion on my 92. I used the Painless Wiring harness and some good GE bulbs. The lens I got from Jeggs are junk. They are the diamond stlye just like the E bay ones. There is no light in front on the truck. The pattern is too spread out. The kit and the bulbs are great but I neeed to find a different lens to get more light in front and not to the sides. Before you ask I did adjust them 6 ways from Sunday, it is the lens design! Hope this helps.
