New drawer storage/sub and amp box!

I finally got around to building my rear drawer system for my 98 runner.

I made it short enough so that I can still use the factory side compartment and 12 volt outlet on the side. It has a 22" deep by 36" wide drawer. The forward cubby compartment which will house the two amps is 15" by 36". The overall height of the deck is 6".

I made the sub box on the side to fit a kicker Square solobaric 8.

I haven't finished the drawer yet im waiting on a lockable paddle latch.

I was going to go with tan carpet too but it was backordered for a month. I think the black will be good anyway. It will hide stains better.

Overall I'm happy with the outcome. I only have $65 into it also.

Man that looks good! I am getting ready to do mine in the back of my 94 but it will be 10" high with 2 draw's and a cubby in the front. with 4 Kicker 8"s mounted on the front of it. Hopefully i will get the time before the move to do it. If so i will post the pics

Thanks I really like they way it turned out. I had 4 eights in my crew cab titan and loved them. They fit perfect under the seat. I'm putting the same amount of watts to this single square solo that i had to the 4 so it sound pretty good. Loud enough for me anyway.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if the dimensions are the same for the 2nd gen. Just get your major measurements and then around the wheel wells and rear hatch get some card board to make templates. And measure twice or three times and cut once. haha. It will all fit nicely in the end

Looks great! I'll be doing something similar, but will have the sub and amp in the front part of the box, with the storage drawer to the rear. I think with a shallow-mount sub I can get away with only losing 5 inches of height total. Thanks for the ideas!

I thought about putting my sub in the forward part but I wanted mine off the floor because my mutt would find someway to wreck it haha. I'm making a cover for it when it's installed so it's dog proof so to speak

Yeah, that is a problem. I guess I'll just make a beefy grille for it.

sweet!!

I'm going to do something really similar, I'm planning on the front compartment holding 4 down firing 8's, and put a small pdx amp under the back seat, and one under the drivers seat...

I rikey!
