Give me a bumper with a discount, and I'll make the fiberglass filler peices for the 4th gen. I actually glass surfboards for a living.

I would love to have a bumper like yours. I like the stock plastic top. I tow so the hitch would need to be able to handle the 5000lb towing cap of the runner. The biggest problem with the stock hitch is that is is so low. Looks great!!!

if bruce could get something organized, like many have said, i believe these bumpers will sell like hotcakes (or cheap gas right now).

i myself am in the market, and i look around, and it seems that there are a bunch others interested (as stated in this thread also).

the look is perfect...the shackle hangers, and option for hitch...personally i dont like the tire carrier, so this would be the perfect bumper for me.

any news is good news.

When I last spoke with Bruce, he told me it's coming a long as he's finishing up the jig for each component. I think he's in his test run right about now and should have something soon.

I second that motion, cheers to the beauty of a mixed market economy, lets make it happen.

That's right, I finished making Charle's bumper, except I still need to weld on shackle hangers. I have the templates made, but still need to build a few jigs. Then I need to wire my garage for 220v, so I can hook up my new compressor and TIG welder. I'm also planning on getting a plasma cutter.... I'll be making one more prototype soon to test the jigs and then I'll be ready to go into production. I still need to get quotes on the side wings being laser cut and bent. The bumper will be built to order depending on flare and body lift options and a kit form will be available as well.

I want one with a hitch. As a kit would be ok or built. I have been wanting a nice rear bumper with hitch. The factory hitch is so low.

Yeah, mine's almost finished. I love it, it's so nice having a low maintenance rear bumper. Plus I think it's the best 3rd gen rear bumper combining form and function. We both learned a lot from making this one, so that'll help towards future production. Mine's not even gonna be the final design, there will be a few more minor design tweaks. I know Bruce wants to get a production version out to you guys ASAP, and it's been longer than expected for some, but he's doing well for one guy who works full time and has a life besides bumpers. So hold out, it'll be worth the wait.

..you mean theres more to life than bada$$ rear 3rd gen custom bumpers?

haha...props to you bruce & your crew for getting this ball rolling. i know i'd be on the wait list, but seeing as im on the other side of the line, im going to have to have a go with fabbing this up myself.

...unless you plan on offering blueprints/cad designs for sale?

Wow, maybe it had been discussed before, but, that is one good idea.

Will save a little (a lot?) on shipping and labor costs!

Y'know I could always drive down there if you needed a truck to test with a 2" BL or anything

I'm saving up for one, so at my rate it'l only take me 1-2 years! Woohoo!

When I get a chance I'll update my bumper build-up page, it will have detailed specifications and a scale drawing, so it should be quite easy to copy. Just remember this project originally started out as an April Fools joke, but because of the response, I decided to see if it was possible to do, while keeping the cost reasonable. Once I have the $$$ to get the pieces laser cut and bent, I'll have the kits ready for sale. Mainly it's getting the spare time to work on this thing, I'd rather see others build their own bumper, using my webpage or from a kit I'll be supplying, but for those few I'll have a complete bumper availiable....
