new A-Arms with uniballs?

I need to replace my upper ball joint on my DS and have a feeling im going to have to do the same for my PS. THe thing is, the cost of replacing it is around 340 at the stealer. For that cost, I could replace the whole A-arm with uniballs. Is this illogical?

what is the benefits to the all pro arms? Thank in advance.

Please let me know if the best thing is to just replace the ball joints.

Just wondering, how do you know your ball joints are bad? Just wondering.

Secondly, I think it would be worth to do the upper a-arm replacement. You'll get a little bit more travel, but, you'll also need an alignment.

You can usually tell you ball joints are going bad if you can push/pull on the top of your tire and the ball joint moves inboard/outboard with it.

I would go with UCA's by the way, you can get some sweet coilovers with them that way too

ahh, mine are visibly bad. The boots are leaky and there is play.

Im not sure how often they go bad, but it seems worth it to replace them with uniballs. Alignment is no issue, I have lifetime alignment at firestone.

Get a total chaos kit Matt! I will powder coat it with some glow in the dark powder and blingify it!

Seriously...I would do it....might as well upgrade!

$340 vs $500 + install and alignment.

Its a tough choice, I would rather upgrade than fix any broken part on my truck.

I think new upper ball joints are like $30 or $40 each. I plan on replacing mine soon also cause they are both leaking.

From my experince with suspension design and owning the TC UCA kit........

the geometry of the arms themself are all the same. with the uniball, you have more articulation on the top piviot allowing for more droop. arms without uniballs are simply more beefy than stock arms.

I say uniballs or stay stock.
