I changed my timing belt at around 70 k miles. My cousin, who helped me change it, asked me why the hell I wanted it changed for, it's looked brand new. But its always better to be safe.

That was smart of you. The manufacturers can use the excuse that they are not responsible for repairs under warranty if you did not keep up with the scheduled maintenance.
