NEED quick help (tailgate glass)

Hey guys have a problem. Got into my 99 4runner last night and tried to lower my tailgate glass..the up / down button didn't seem to be working. Not being to smart I hit the down button on my remote and the glass went down instantly. The bad part as you guys know is the remote won't raise the glass...so its stuck down.

Any suggestions? Fuse? If so...which one? Pulled the cover in the right next to the driver door and didn't see anything for the tailgate?

Thanks in advance!!

This may be a stupid question but was the key turned to the acc position when you tried it? I asked this cause it happened to me

Did you try using the key switch on the tailgate?

Haha!! Not a stupid question, but I figured it out just a few minutes ago. I hate to admit this, but somehow I had depressed the window lock feature without knowing it and that was the problem!!! I feel so freakin dumb!! Before I realized this I switched out all the fuses that related to rear power window!! Sometimes the most simple things can cause you to rack your brain.

You are not the first, nor will you be the last person to do this. At least you figured it out on your own!

I don't even want to think how I would have felt if I had taken it to a repair shop and then found out.

Funny story...I replaced an outside light on the front of my house. I put a brand new bulb in and flipped the switch...nothing. Went back and rewired it checking all my connections...tried again...nothing. Called my electrician and told him the stupid fixture must be defective. He recommended taking it back for an exchange so I did. Well the second light fixture didn't work either!!! Electrician came out and this point and rewired it himself. Didn't work...he proceeded to check all my breakers and everything seemed fine. We sat there for probably 30 minutes or so trying to figure out what was wrong and then one of us had the bright idea to try a different bulb! What do ya know...it worked!!! Turned out the bulb was brand new but defective. Again..sometimes its the easy things we cant figure out!!!
