Anybody interested in the leftover trim flairs, end caps & mud flaps? The end caps got torn up on disassembly, but I believe an enterprising person could make them usable. PM if interested.

You are missing a piece on the rear door

 

I have the read door pieces, need to drill the doors to install them. I don't have fasteners for them. Gonna talk to my buddy the bodyman first.

 

That's what I was thinking, I like the flares better for sure.

 

I have the Limited, painted color matches flares and I hate them.

Well that would be wrong. They bolt to clips on the doors, but you do not have to drill the doors. Only the limited 4Runners have holes in the door skins.

Get the clips from the dealer if you need to, but dnot do it half ass. You will kick yourself later if you do.

 

If you remove them you will have to fill the 20 or so square holes they will leave behind.

 

That'd be a pain.

What about the matte black ones that our OP replaces his with. Would those be bolt on replacements?

Still have to fill the square holes in the body. The chrome moldings, and the black flares both attach essentially the same way.

Sorry man, but I dont exactly have pics layin around of clips.
