Hey guys. So everytime I start my truck or turn the ignition on, a weird noise and vibration comes from the engine bay.

If I turn the key to the on position. Immediately following the 3 beeps there's that noise coming from the engine bay. If your facing the truck from the front with the hood open it's happening in the upper left hand corner of the bay. I just started to notice it. The truck runs perfect and drives fine. But it definitely doesn't seem right. Any ideas??

Also I had a head unit installed right before I started noticing it but I doubt that has anything to do with it. Please help me out with this issue. I've tried searching but so far Ive had no luck

Well I pinpointed the noise to the abs control module. It doesn't sound right but there's no dash light.

Should I replace it? Or is There a fix?

 

What year is your truck/4runner?

If it is a 2001/2002 4runner (I'm not sure what the truck years are), this could explain the noise:

its a 96 and the problem doesnt sound like mine, it only happens once every time the key to the on position immediately after the third beep. i guess its just hard to explain but i appreciate you responding.

 

A video with audio would help explain it to those who may have experienced same. Got a smartphone you can record a video & sound with?
