Question My window guard is coming loose!

Noticed the other day while washing the truck one of my window guards has came loose on my rear drivers side right at the front of it. Wondering if anyone has any clever ideas to stick it back down w/o using krazy glue or something. It's only about a 1.5" part that is loose but afraid wind will get under it and make it worse.

Here is where I'm talking about.

Sticky

I don't have those window thingamajiggies, but I've used the automotive black RTV silicone (Permatex I think) for attaching cell antennas to glass and it worked great for that. Don't know what it will do to the surface though if you ever want to remove 'em.

I have the same problem. I was just going to find/buy some more of the 3M tape.

I have re-attached many of these "vent visor" type items. The 3m tape is exactly what comes on these items new. It is a low profile double sided tape. Be sure to clean the area your going to stick the tape with alcohol (NOT Beer or Jack Daniels ).

You can buy the same double 3M tape that comes on them from Pepboys™ or any autoparts store.

Thanks guys. Do you think I should just stick the new tape to the old stuff on the plastic or try and scrape it off? The 3M is still stuck real good to the ventvisor it just wont stick to the truck.

Roll it off with your thumb. ( Feels great after about 15mins of work. )

Some heat from a heat gun doesnt hurt. (well, hurts the thumb actually, but helps get it off. )

No, REMOVE the old tape first. Also, it would be a good idea to rub on some alcohol (isoproply rubbing alcohol) on the surface the tape will be sticking to. This will make it as clean as possible.
