My Tunes don't work!

For some reason my radio just cut out on me yesterday, while I was on a 3 hour drive from the Florida Keys. The radio turns on, accepts CD's, and changes radio stations. But there is no sound at all. Anybody have any idea what may be wrong??

assuming you've checked the volume knob (jk) then it could be a few things. if you do offroading of sorts, perhaps a wire came loose in the back due to severe vibration (rca cable perhaps, which would allow for power to still go to it, but no output to speakers).

just pop off the dash and make sure everything looks snug and plugged in right.

good luck! sorry i couldn't be more specific...but it's a wide open question up front...gotta just narrow down your variables now.

I'm not sure if your model year has the built in amp but if it does it sounds like it may have blown or the fuse to it may have blown.

Good luck,

Well, it works now. The only thing that strikes me as strange is that some water was dripping from under the dash on the passenger side. Maybe a wire got wet or something. Why would water be dripping from under there? Should I be concerned with this?

Water dripping from the passenger side is usually condensation from the A/C. It's supposed to be on the outside, though. Maybe the water grounded something that shouldn't have been grounded. Maybe this has been happening for awhile and one of the ground points has gotten rusty. Hope you figger it out.
