My tranny may be going..........

It seems that whenever the truck is still cold, I try to pull away and the transmission slips. Then whenver I stop and start it slips until the transmission warms up. Now I know I'm a little behind on the transmission fluid change, but what I would like to know is would a flush and fill help it, or should I just swap in a new tranny with a 5 speed from another 22re?
