A good thought, but:
I installed a MSD 6AL, blaster coil, and 3-step limiter on my Civic SI. $300 later, and I finally realized it didnt do crap.
Not sure how you would even hook it up to the 5VZ since it is a coil-on-cylinder design. This system by Toyota is very efficient. Besides, no one has proven that there is a flame-out condition with the TRD SC...and that would be the only real case you would want a "better" spark.
Waste of money in my book.

I think most of the problem will be with finding a place to put the unit and then routing the wires neatly. Other than that, if you have access to a FSM, you can suss out the wiring in short order.
Thanks for posting the pic NX. Do you have any more with maybe a wider view of the unit in it's mounted position on your truck?
Later.
