I'm really starting to like it, especially in the blue color(whatever it's called).
I've told myself to wait until next fall before I shop for one. That's going to be tuff when I'm already wondering to myself where to put a couple of amplifiers.
Not a good sign.

not really. it seemed taller than the current one, but i can't say i noticed it being significantly taller than the 4runner. then again, i wasn't looking at height so much, just taking the whole thing in. i'd be interested in some stats.
damn all these pics, there's making me kinda, a little bit, maybe... jealous

Well there's nothing there a $15 plastic faceplate adaptor won't fix if you want to run aftermarket so I don't think it's going to squash anyone's audio dreams.
Ah, don't worry Chuck! Your truck is pretty unique- plus I saw the new Donahoe coilovers for the Tacoma (like yours Bud!) and they are AMAZING. Me wants! As you guys know, Donohoe is coming out with 4th gen coilovers.

ha, when i first read it i thought you wrote comparing it to mine, then i reread it and fixed my post.
and yeah, the face plate will be the fix, i guess it just doesn't seem as aesthetically pleasing a seeing a nice snug fit stereo. oh well, not a big deal.
that's cool donahoe is coming out with 4th gen runner coilovers. they are definitely quality products.

It's not too bad, but thats what I said about the 4th gen 4Runner. It's going to take a well skilled car audio guy that can do some fancy work to fit an aftermarket headunit.

This is interesting:

I would never have thought about mounting a rack back there...

I think I'd have to see that bed for myself before I gave it any votes like that. The Ford Sport Trac has an all plastic bed that I despise. Looks like there is some awesome innovation in there but I wonder how resilient it is to accidents.
