Thumbs up Modified Maglite mod!

I bought the Maglite clips at Home Depot for $4.18 including tax, and when I got home, I decided to only use one clip for the mod, not two. I attached it to the black crossbar on the bottom front of the driver seat. I think I saw someone else had done this here, but had used both clips. There really is no need to use both, as one holds it very securely. Of course this is the smaller D cell size Maglite, the larger one may require both clips.

I predrilled using an 9/64" metal bit, and using the clip as a template, then I used the screws that came in the package with the Maglite clips, and voila. The 9/64" bit was perfect for the included screws. It is totally out of the way, secure, and I have another clip for my other Maglite!

I thought about mounting mine there but it looked like the seat would hit it if anyone moved it forward. Do you have that problem? What year is your rig?

Passenger-side, 2 clips. I just like having 2 there instead of one in the middle, simply preference. Either way you do it, it's functional & that's what counts.

maglite

mine is an 02. i mounted it has much foward as i could. you are correct- if i were to move the seat all the way foward, it would hit the maglite. but, i never need to have the seat all the way foward- if i do- i can just take the maglite out of it's clips-problem then solved!
